A Friend So Constant

Some friends are like the weather
They're shifting with the wind
But some are like a heartbeat
Steadfast until the end

Some friends are like the seasons
They're here for just a while
But some are like an anchor
They hold us thru each trial

If we're blessed enough
A constant friend we'll find
One who is consistent,
Persistently so kind.

This friend is like a mirror
Helping us to see
Not the place we were or are
But the place we're meant to be

And to this friend of mine
I send much love and care
For she's a friend so constant…
For truly, she's always there!
