A Hundred Years of Cowboys
Tribute to The Mint Bar,
Sheridan, Wyoming
Established 1907
A hundred years of cowboys
Have passed through this bar's door
A hundred years of footprints
Have walked across the floor…
Old photographs of ranch life
Show rugged yesteryears,
When life was lived more freely
Out on the old frontier…
A hundred years of laughter
And stories that were spun,
Still echo from wood shingles,
Of how the west was won.
Out front's a neon cowboy
A bucking bronc, he rides-
His spurs forever spurring,
His lasso at his side…
The Wurlitzer's still playing
Faron Young and Patsy Cline,
Another tear and heartache-
From another year and time…
A hundred years of cowboys
Have passed through this bar's door
A hundred years of footprints
Still whisper from the floor…
