Angel At My Window

There's an angel at my window,
Sitting on the ledge,
She watches o'er my welfare,
Fulfilling my Lord's pledge.
Behind the veil, without fail,
Hidden from earthly eyes,
As hours pass, sand thru glass,
Dark spirits she defies!
She sees my soul of sadness,
Weeping as a willow,
Sweet breath is breathed upon me,
As tears fall upon my pillow.
I gather Hope that shall not wane,
From flutters of her wings,
For upon my path, her sweet domain,
Is comfort that she brings.
I gather Strength that shall not fade,
From her hymnals of endeavor,
I, God's warrior, unafraid,
Shall sing these hymns forever!
