I see between the lines
Of every word you say…
I feel the sadness kept
Just far enough at bay…

Is hiding so much pain,
It lives within your core
And never seems to wane…

I see behind your eyes
To far within your soul
I see the feigned disguise
That seeks to gain control…

And it hurts to see you silent
To know you struggle every day,
You never take the hands
Extended out your way…

You don't have to go alone,
There is not a written rule
That says you must be tough…
When Life has been so cruel…

I am here to love you,
To walk with you a while,
I am here to help you
And send your heart a smile…

The burdens that you carry
Might lessen this very hour…
