Destinations

If you rise some winter morn and travel thru the snow,
To take a flight from Matterhorn and go to Tupelo,
If from the coast of Scotland, you delight in brogue and tea,
Or if by chance you care to dance on the Emerald Isle, so free,
If you nap in a field of clover to the lullaby of bees,
Or climb the cliffs of Dover and gaze out at the sea,
If from a boat in Puget Sound, you heat the haunting din,
Of humpback whales as they sing rounds of their lilting hymn,
If you pray at Notre Dame or lament at the Wailing Wall,
If you tease the bulls in Spain or fish The Senegal,
It matters not where you wander, or if we are apart,
Whether near or whether yonder,
Take my love wrapped 'round your heart!
