If I Live to Be One Hundred
If I live to be one hundred
I pray I'll not forget
Tongue River in the moonlight
And the canyon's silhouette…
If I live a long, long time
And my thoughts should start to go,
I hope they make a journey
And see
The Autumn leaves in snow…
If I can't live where it's real…
If I should ever lose my mind-
I hope that I'll remember
That you and Love were kind…
If I live to be one hundred
And all but one thought is erased
I pray you'll be that memory,
And I will see your face…
