In a delicate manner
She grooms her thick hair,
Silver strands tucked
Behind just one ear…

Like a shining medallion,
That captures the light,
Soft shimmers of silver
Beckon the night.

Scented with jasmine,
Adorned with great care,
The Maven of Memphis
So lovely, so rare…

Fatally feminine,
Uncommon, divine…
Ahhh, the Maven of Memphis-
To think she was mine!
