No Vacancy
I slipped
In between wakefulness
And the Land of Nod
Hoping to find a path
Of least resistance
I settled somewhere
between
The dream of my heart
And the want of my soul
Where yearns are
entrenched
They lie buried in the
bedrock
Just abreast of
fragments
Adjacent to
the brokenness
I dig thru layer upon
layer
Layers of fractured and
jagged edges
Violated virtues
Infringed interludes
Disrupted and
disconnected
Dreams
I burrow in there
Not budging…I nestle in
A once cavernous void
And hang a sign on my
soul-
