And you’re reading this short note
I hope that you’ll consider
Each word this poet wrote

I’m asking for your prayers
Just a simple heart-felt plea
I’m asking for your prayers
For our precious Emily.

So if you’d take a moment
And pray a simple word
I’m sure that it would help,
It will not go unheard.

Let your prayers ascend
This is my only plea,
Whisper in God’s ear
