The Good Fight

I will fight the good fight
Against evil, intervene-
I’ll gird myself with courage,
Vanquish enemies unseen…

I will leave the stillness,
Step into the raging storm,
To heed the distant calling
I’ve heard since I was born.

I will leave the anvil
And step into the fire-
Be cast inside the furnace
To be what I aspire…

Yes, I will fight the good fight,
Lord, hold me in your hand,
I will fight the good fight-
Keep me strong,
Help me stand…
